Roasted Red Pepper Hummus from Closet Cooking

A creamy chickpea hummus with sweet roasted red peppers that is great as a dip or spread!

  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas
  • roasted red peppers
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (~1 lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
  1. Puree the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice and oil in a food processor adding water or oil if necessary to bring it to the consistency that you like and salt, pepper and cayenne to taste.

Option: Add a dash of smoked paprika for a hint of exotic.
