Cuban Sandwich from Closet Cooking

A tasty Cuban sandwich with roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard.

Ingredients
  • 1 bun or 2 slices of bread
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 slices of swiss cheese
  • 2 slices roast pork or 1/2 cup pulled pork preferably lechon asado (Cuban roast pork)
  • 2 slices ham, cooked
  • 2-4 slices pickle
Directions
  1. Assemble the sandwich and grill in a panini press over medium heat until golden brown, about 2-4 minutes per side.

Tip: If you do not have a panini press, grill the sandwich in a pan and press down on it with the bottom of a bowl to get the 'press'.
Tip: If you are using pulled lechon asado, mix in a tablespoon of mojo into it for an extra kick!
Option: If you got any crackling from your roast pork, throw some into the sandwich to add a crunchy texture and even more flavour.
Option: Add 2 strips cooked bacon for a pork trifecta!
