CLL Doctors

Specialists in blood-related disorders and blood cancers are called hematologists/oncologists. These doctors arrange for specialized testing and treatment of CLL patients.

When first diagnosed or treatment is recommended, most list members will encourage you to seek a second opinion from a doctor who is recognized for quality CLL care. The CLL Topics website has a page, (Almost) Everything You Need to Know About CLL which discusses how to choose a CLL Doctor.

ACOR CLL List members were asked, "What makes a CLL Specialist?" Click the link for their responses.

At the bottom of this page is a PDF list of doctors who have been recommended by CLL list members. If you have a recommendation of a doctor with whom you have had a positive experience in your area, that is not on the list, please let us know.

If you do not find a doctor in your area, post to the list that you would like doctor recommendations near you and provide your general area. List members will provide suggestions.  Also, if you believe your doctor should be on the CLL list of doctors, please send your recommendation to  Include the following:

  • Country, State and/or Province, and City

  • Doctor's name

  • Affiliation(s)

  • Complete address and phone number

The CLL Doctor List is a document in PDF format which can be downloaded to your computer by clicking on the CLL Doctor List.pdf at the bottom of this page. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free application on the Internet, to open the file.

Every attempt is made to keep the ACOR CLL Doctor List updated and current. If you see errors on the CLL Doctor List, or have a doctor that you believe should be included on the list, or notice missing information, please contact the list managers at

There are two other lists that you may wish to consider besides the CLL Doctor List.pdf at the bottom of this page.

We are providing this list of doctors for your convenience. Many, but not all, of the doctors on the ACOR CLL Doctor List are CLL specialists. Neither ACOR nor the CLL list managers endorse any particular individual listed, nor do we make any judgment about the appropriateness of any doctor for your particular needs. It is the responsibility of each patient to research the qualifications of any medical professional with whom they seek treatment.
