Cross Crusade at Portland international raceway. The whole atmosphere was awesome. Marching band, hot tub, 20 mph winds, raining, and crowds limning the course while you raced. It really makes you love cross even when its freezing and your ready to quit.
Favorite Clif Product:
Margarita Shot Blocks
Sustainability Goal:
To provide reliable and simple recycling service at the Cross Crusades. These have never really been available were they are needed even with large amounts of paper cups that are used at every event for cider coffee oatmeal etc. The Cortland cross community would be very accepting of recycling if it were simple and easy to access.

My sustainability goal is to review my high school’s policies and procedures that relate to the school’s environmental awareness practices.  I want to recommend practical ways that the school could reduce its carbon footprint.  I plan to organize a group of students to help implement the changes.  In short, I want to crank up green awareness throughout my community and within my school.

Ever since 6th grade, Yannick Eckmann and I have had a competition to see who can ride our bikes to school the most! This resulted in sometimes arriving at school completely soaked from the snow, rain, sleet, what have you... Anyways, to this day we still ride as many days out of the year as possible, everywhere we go and enjoy every bit of it because it is fun and reduces our Carbon Footprint and promotes a sustainable environment! I also recycle old school papers, cans, newspapers, etc...
