Born in Derry City, Ireland and attended the infamous St Columb’s College in the 1990’s. Following completing his college degree in Belfast along with a one year study abroad in Cleveland, Mark decided to make America his permanent home in April of 2001.
After a year Mark got involved with local club Cleveland St Pat’s GFC as a player and a year later would assume the role as vice-chairman. In 2004 he would be elected as Chairman of the club, a position he has held to this day.
Mark is very active in the local Irish community having served for several years on the Board of Trustee’s at the local West Side Irish American Club as well as penning a monthly sports article for the Irish American News Ohio since 2007.
A major goal of Mark’s has been to totally revamp the current playing facilities at the West Side Irish American Club, and indeed a 3 year plan in currently a work in progress to make these goals a reality and with it ensure a successful future and home for Cleveland St Pat’s GFC.
