Volunteers in Education
The CLES PTA Volunteers in Education (VIE) Coordinators this year are Maryanne Morrissette and Lynn Gallob. They will be assisting teachers and staff by contacting volunteers and letting them know where their help is needed at school.
Volunteering can be as easy as making copies for a teacher, decorating a bulletin board, reading to students, helping out with events, and assisting with hall monitoring during testing! Chaperoning a field trip is even considered volunteering! Some teachers have tasks that can be accomplished at home, so parents who can't volunteer during the school day can do their part.
You may volunteer a little or a lot; every bit helps and our staff and students really appreciate it! Parental involvement in school is proven to make for a safer school, better behavior, and better grades!

You may also print out this Volunteer Interest form to fill out and send into CLES with your child.
This year we are introducing a new volunteer program into CLES called "Dolphin Dads." You do not have to be a father, but a positive role model who exemplifies a fatherly roll. Having a positive male role model is very important to all children. We need some Dolphin Dads who can cafeteria monitor, volunteer in the classroom, or just be physically present in the hallways. We welcome dads, brothers, uncles, grandfathers, and military members to come in and make a difference to all of our children here at CLES.
Every Dolphin Dad will be provided with a free t-shirt to wear while volunteering at our school.
Please email our volunteer coordinators for more information on how to be a Dolphin Dad.
