What are the shows like?

Mock Turtle Soup performs 8 main shows a year, that's 4 each semester, in Lee Hall 111 (the large auditorium near the architectural library).  For shows, dates, and times check the homepage.  This show costs $5 and starts at 8:00 pm running about an hour and a half with the doors opening at 7:30.  We rate this as a PG to PG-13 show, so we try to keep it family friendly. There is also normally an opening act, sometimes stand-up comedy, sometimes live music, sometimes not.  If you or someone you know might be interested contact us.

It is divided into two halves.  The first half (approximately 45 minutes) is a collection of your favorite short form games (like those you might see on Whose Line Is It Anyway? ).  After our first half there is a 15 minute intermission to give you a chance to stretch your legs, use the restroom, and grab a bite to eat at Third Place (this is a local coffee and dessert shop that sells refreshments at our show).

The second half is a little more artistic and a little more free-flowing.  It is what's referred to as a long form.  Here we take one suggestions for a collection of several scenes.  This usually runs about 20-30 minutes for the entire montage of scenes.  We have dozens of forms we use for the second half so they are always new and different (plus, it's all made up on the spot).

This show is usually followed by Nocturnal Soup, our more artistic, more adult, after show.
