The price for Sunday classes during Fall/Spring semester is $195 for 16 sessions, each session is 3 hours long. There will be a registration fee of $15 for new students (this is waived for old students). Our classes tailor towards children ages 4 to 16. Children aged 4-5 may attend our Chinese Kindergarten class at 1:30 pm on Sundays. This class is conversation and activities only, without writing. We also have two adult classes on TUESDAYS and SUNDAY morning, $175 for 10 sessions: - Marian’s Adult Class for Beginners/Intermediate 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sundays
- Adult Intermediate class is 7pm – 8:45pm Tuesday evenings
We are always accepting new students! New students can pay a pro-rated fee for the remaining sessions if class has already begun. Unfortunately we cannot accept credit cards, only cash or cheque please. The classes includes reading and writing Mandarin Chinese. After class, children have the option of enjoying the following special activities: Chinese singing, dance, traditional art and chess. We also provide sessions for people who need tutoring with English. Call Tom or Ching for more info (727) 544-5748. 18 thoughts on “Classes” CarlaDo you have any adult classes starting in the fall? And do you offer any adult intermediate level classes? I’ve previously studied Mandarin, and lived in Mainland China for 2 years, and am looking for something a little more advanced than a beginner’s class. raptoriaYes, we have adult intermediate language classes starting August 19th 7pm-8:45pm. $175 for 10 sessions. Hope to see you there!
elaineTwo kids ages 9 and 11 y.o. would like to have classes together. 1:30pm to 4:30pm won’t work for them because they will be in school. They have no Chinese language experience. Thanks! raptoriaOur classes are on Sundays, 1:30-4:30pm, is that still a schedule conflict for you? cheers!
KarenMy 8 year old son may be interested in taking classes but he has no Chinese language experience. What is the cost for beginner kids classes and how do we register? Thanks! raptoriaHi there, no worries. We are always accepting new students and have beginners classes. Please come at 1:30pm August 17 for registration. MichelleI have a 4 year old with some Mandarin knowledge. Do I need to sign him up for classes in advance or just show up on August 17th to register? raptoriayou can just come on August 17th at 1:30pm to register! See you there!
TarshaI would like to register my two for Spring Semester. We are previous students so I understand registration is waived since we have already paid it. However, is there a way to pay the fee on a weekly basis as oppose to one lump sum? Thank you. Linda O'RourkeHi! My son is married to a wonderful Taiwanese American young lady. Her culture and language is naturally very important to her. I have been using Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur (still at a beginner level) and I thought that having a language teacher may be a great help to me. I saw on your site that you offer an adult’s beginner class on Sunday’s. Would it be possible to join that class now, or is there another class about to begin? (I will be visiting my son and daughter-in-law on May 17th and again from July 13th to July 28th. Those are the only Sundays that I would be unable to attend.) Thank you. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Linda raptoriaHi Linda, we have an ongoing adult class Sundays 10:30am – 12:30pm (this Sunday is easter so there is no class). Class will resume April 12th. We also have classes on Tuesdays 7-8:45pm. You can come join us any time – and make up lost sections /roll over classes to the next semester. Hope to see you soon! LindaThank you, Raptoria, for your quick reply! I will attend the April 12th class. Do I register at that time or should I stop by on Tuesday? raptoriaHi Linda, you can just come around 10:20am on Sunday to register with Marian. You can pay with cash or cheque.
Linda O'RourkeHi Raptoria, I hope you are doing well. I have decided to start my Mandarin Beginner’s class in August. I am afraid that I will forget everything I learned those first 3 weeks with a 3 month break inbetween classes. I see that Fall Registration begins on August 16th, so I will sign up then. Hope to see you then! Linda raptoriano worries, come join us any time! Enjoy your summer!
JessicaHello, my boyfriend is Cambodian and we have two beautiful daughters. I am looking for classes/ a school/ books on CD in Khmer. He speaks to them in Khmer a little bit but not constantly and I can’t find any resources to supplement. Do you have any Cambodian employees or classes or know of any? raptoriaHi Jessica, one of our teachers was from Cambodia and I believe he runs some type of community organization. Try calling our school’s number or dropping in on a Sunday during school hours, we are very friendly and would be happy to help you get in contact. Tell them the webmaster sent you (Tina).
LindaHi Raptoria, I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer vacation. I noticed on your calendar that August 16th is the first day of classes. When would be a good time for me to register for beginning Mandarin adult classes? Linda
