Ok, so this might be cheating... This is the latch on the door of our 1936 GE refrigerator. Right now we store wine in it. Anyway, I'm in love with the latch: it's so solid and old school and wonderfully idiot proof. And metal - like the rest of this beast, which weighs a couple hundred pounds. But it's totally cool.
