  • A dentist or dental hygienist removes soft debris, stain, and hard deposits (calculus or tartar) on the teeth that cannot be removed by brushing and flossing. Regular teeth cleaning by a dentist or dental hygienist helps prevent periodontal diseases.

Petzlife Oral Care Spray (2.2 oz) and Peppermint Gel (4 oz)
Petzlife Oral Care Spray (2.2 oz) and Peppermint Gel (4 oz)
PetzLife Salmon flavored Gel and Peppermint Spray remove plaque and tartar from your pet's teeth, no toothbrush required! Made with all-natural, holistic ingredients, Oral Care Spray safely removes plaque and tartar, reverses oral disease, promotes healthy gums, brightens teeth and kills the bacteria that causes bad breath. When applied in your pet's mouth, the ingredients mix with your pet's saliva and completely coat their teeth and mouth. This process kills harmful bacteria and loosens plaque and tarter. Start your pet on the road to better oral health today. Ingredients: 100% all natural distilled water, grain alcohol, grapefruit seed extract, proprietary blend of herbs and natural oils. You will notice your pet licking it's lips repeatedly. This helps mix the product with your pet's saliva and the natural ingredients will coat all surfaces of your pet's teeth and gums. For best results withhold food and water 30 minutes before and after applications. After 30 days you can reduce to one application per day sprayed directly into your pet's mouth. After 60 days you can reduce to every 2nd or 3rd day. Your pet's plaque and tartar should not return with this recommended usage. You will know it is working when the tartar begins to leave the area between the gum-line and the teeth. When the gum area is tartar free, it is no longer a breeding ground for harmful bacteria that can go directly into your pet's bloodstream. The last area to become tartar free is the middle of your pet's teeth. You will also notice that your pet's breath will be much fresher. Doggy and Kitty breath in most cases is gone! Recommended Dosage: * Pets under 12 lbs: 2 sprays (one on each side of pet's mouth is recommended) * Pets 12-35 lbs: 3 sprays * Pets 30-60 lbs: 4 sprays * Pets 60+ lbs: 5-6 sprays Gel: * Pets under 12 lbs: 1/4 tsp. * Pets 12-35 lbs: 1/3 tsp. * Pets 30-60 lbs: 1/2 tsp. * Pets 60+ lbs: 1 tsp. Burnham Fountain
Burnham Fountain
Sea View Road to the Esplanade (sea front), Burnham-on-Sea. It's operational but usually switched off. Yet another of the commemorative fountains erected for Queen Victoria's 60th, though this one is dated 1897 so was perhaps delayed. Despite looking through copious quantites of local microfiche I could find out very little information about it. It seems to have been rather obscured by matters of more national importance such as continuing conflicts in our once far-flung empire. Apparently it cost the Burnham Urban District Council way too much, the polished granite bowls pushing its price to over ?100, a huge sum at the time. Burnham-on-Sea was undergoing a period of expansion and affluence thanks to the new interest in tourism and 'taking the sea airs' as a restorative for the industrial nouveau riche living in their smoky cities. This was a small part of a town redevelopment which included the building of 'Spa Baths' where people could sample, either by drinking or batheing, the 'health-giving local tonic water'. Called Daviesville, after the local vicar who devised it, this venture didn't last, as the water - while not poisonous - tasted funny and smelled even worse, a legacy of both its seaside location and proximity to underground volcanic source rocks. Thus the spa didn't last but the fountain, supplied from a piped source is still here. The fountain was cleaned and restored in the 1980s. This seems to have also involved turning the unit through 90degrees, as the right side was heavily worn by facing into the teeth of onshore breezes for 80years. It is constructed from a mix of stone types: the bowls in pink granite, top in polished marble and base (around the bowls) in unpolished limestone which has suffered worse from erosion. The plinth step appears to be sandstone. The original lamp was beyond repair but replaced, though it never seemed to work properly and currently has no bulb. There are no large horse troughs; two small bowls exist, perhaps for dogs etc but they are difficult even for a snouted animal to access and are probably just drains.

The WP 450 is ideal for those who don't like to floss, as well as for anyone with braces, implants, crowns, bridges, or periodontal pockets. Water flossing for about a minute a day conveniently and comfortably removes up to 99.9% of plaque from treated areas and gently massages the gums to improve overall oral health. The WP 450 is clinically proven to be up to twice as effective as string floss at improving gum health, and three times as effective as string floss for cleaning plaque and debris around braces.
Four Unique Tips Clean in Specialized Ways
Offering four unique tips: the Plaque Seeker Tip, the Classic Jet Tip, the Orthodontic Tip, and the Tongue Cleaner, the WP 450 thoroughly cleans your whole mouth.
The Plaque Seeker Tip removes plaque in hard-to-reach areas around implants, crowns, bridges and other dental work. For healthier gums, the Classic Jet Tip reaches below the gumline to keep your mouth healthy.
Those who wear braces will appreciate the Orthodontic Tip--it's three times as effective as floss when it comes to removing plaque around braces. And the Tongue Cleaner removes bacteria from your tongue to help freshen breath.
Dual Water Pressure Control System
With the WP 450's dual water pressure control system, you can personalize your water pressure intensity. Choose either a gentle or more powerful pressure to meet your needs. The WP 450 uses a unique combination of water pressure and pulsations to massage and stimulate gums, removing plaque deep between teeth and below the gumline where traditional brushing and flossing can't reach.
Rechargeable Design Provides Flexibility
The cordless, rechargeable design of this WP 450 lets you walk away from the charger for maximum mobility and convenience. Never worry about batteries running out. Simply recharge the unit between uses. In addition, the WP 450's improved shape takes up less space on the bathroom countertop, and an advanced, ergonomic handle with non-slip grip fits securely in your hand.
Waterpik Cordless Plus Water Flosser WP 450 is backed by a two-year warranty.
