Tisch School Of The Arts

Founded in 1916 as a rigorous conservatory for theater and film, the Tisch School of the Arts has evolved into one of the nation’s leading centers for professional training in performing, media and digital arts.

The Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at Tisch is one of the premiere film programs in the world, offering intensive hands-on production experience and a broad exposure to the liberal arts. With the highly selective admissions process, students are pushed to explore the media and find their own cinematic voice.

Tisch alumni include Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, Spike Lee, Ang Lee, Alec Baldwin, Joel Coen, Amy Heckerling, George Wolfe, Tony Kushner, Marcia Gay Harden, M. Night Shyamalan, Nanette Burstein and Brett Morgen—men and women who have admirably succeeded in redefining the performing and cinematic arts.
