Claudia Persico is an Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis and a faculty affiliate of the La Follette School of Public Affairs. She is also affiliated with the Institute for Research on Poverty, the Center for Demography and Ecology and the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. As a multidisciplinary policy scholar, she studies the intersection of environmental policy and education policy. In particular, her recent work examines how early exposure to environmental pollution can cause inequality by affecting child health, development and schooling outcomes.
