Positive Discipline

The Positive Discipline in the Classroom focuses on developing a classroom community that fosters responsibility, mutual respect and cooperation. Students need structure to see that they are capable, significant and able to control their own lives. The discipline is based on the belief that all students can learn to behave with dignity, self-control and concern for others.

Developed by Jane Nelson & Lynn Lotts in 1993.
