THIS SITE IS OFFICALLY ABANDONED. Work on a nicer site (using the new Google Sites format as the base) is underway.
I don't have anything funny to say for August, but you can tell by the mods made at the end of the month what the "theme" for September is.
Two additional notes:
This is the first monthly mod page done in the new Google Sites. Hopefully it looks nice.
You may notice the lack of the two Mario-themed models I did this month. That's because they were mostly just experimenting with PBR stuff with no actual plan on what they were to be used for/finalized, and I don't plan on releasing them. (Unless lots of people want it, that is, in which case I'll release them at the end of next month.)
Mods that weren't commissioned by anyone, and don't have videos related to them.
A very stupid mod based on an even stupider meme. The original image was by Reddit user u/Pootisman111 (at least, I think, according to an earlier interpretation of Big Boris as a usable mod), and I made this in five minutes.
A pair of custom textures (with included normal mappings) for the Ambassador. The first one (of Leg Man) was done as partially a joke but also partially to experiment with the techniques. The second one (a Creeper-themed engraving) was done for personal use, but I might as well share it.
(If you want your own personal engraving, you can commission me for 3 keys to do so!)
Some video content creators were spreading their concerns regarding the abuse of sign decals by toxic individuals to try and ruin the experience of players and streamers alike, with the latter risking getting their channels terminated if hateful imagery pops up against their will. So I made a fix (though of course, it isn't as reliable as Valve making the ability to turn off sign decals an option). It does not affect the HUD, only the sign decal on the weapon.
A Minecraft-themed Sniper Rifle, replacing the stock Sniper Rifle. Uses alphatesting to allow for flat-texture details, and generally was designed to not look out of place in Minecraft, although it definitely is not directly compatible (due to the angles not necessarily being supported by Minecraft). This was done with a pixel art sprite done as a base initially for reference, and the colours and texture was directly based on that.
A port of the Magnum Sniper Rifle (with edits to make it work in both world and viewmodel views) from CS:Source, to replace the AWPer Hand.
A port of the Shovel from LEGO Universe. The colour is based on the Basic Shovel weapon. You can download it as a replacement for either the Shovel or the Market Gardener.
A port of two items from LEGO Universe: the basic Hard Hat (not to be confused with the Assembly Engineer's Hard Hat), and the Wrench (colour scheme based on the Exceptional Pipe Wrench).
The Hard Hat replaces the Tin-1000, and the Wrench replaces the Eureka Effect.
Mods that were important or significant enough to have a video.
Mods that were commissioned by users. Thank you for your support! If you want your own commission, please click here for more info.
A port of the Wrench from Half-Life 2, with upscaled textures. Done for @Nobody__at_all on Twitter.
A port of the B-Dasher from Mario Kart DS, replaces the bumper cars in Carnival of Carnage as well as the Victory Lap. Contains a sound mod, too.
A mod for the Pyro that replaces the Flashdance Footies. This requires the Femme Pyro Renovation mod by SageFox, and a copy of said mod's vpk without the Flashdance Footies model change.
It is a pair of socks, with shoes at the end, to replace the Fempyro's boots. Nothing bad with that. Please don't start another Twitter drama over this, I got paid to do it, and I won't mention the original commissioner as I don't want to associate with them, after the drama occurred. I don't want anything to do with this mod any more, and am solely uploading it for archival/historical purposes.
