December 4th, 2009 - Mirroring some information from the original forums
It seems that there are still some people who do not have their clients set up correctly and need to know how to set up their client to run properly on Project1999.  Here is a link to a mirror of Aeolwind's copy and paste of Pyrocat's post on the forums. Project1999 setup instructions

December 2nd, 2009 - Adding zones more quickly
I have added a few more zones that when initially launched and I will try to be adding more quickly.  I have temporarily given up on the time consuming task of creating a link to each item on Allakhazam.  I have instead included a link on the sidebar to the left directly to Allakhazam search so if you want to know about the item you can just keep that open and copy and paste the item name in.  Please let me know via PM on project1999 forums if you find any misspellings or if any information is incorrect.

November 30th, 2009 - Site Launch
Well, I personally got sick of the incredibly slow load times with archive.org and the occasional unavailability of the actual site that I wanted to look at.  I was particularly interested in item drop info for specific zones and it seemed that usually Archive.org would not have access to the information that I wanted when I wanted it so I have taken it upon myself to start compiling the info about zones to start with and then maybe I will add in other stuff such as spell info, however there are plenty of sites that provide that information with ease so it is likely beyond the scope of this project.  Furthermore, this is in support of my nostalgic playtime on the Project 1999 EQEMU server.  Shall i ever get bored, or if the DDoS does not stop and the server gets shut down I will most certainly cease updating this as really I am doing this for me and me alone.

Ohh... and just to give credit where it is due.  I am taking initial item data for zones from the Allakhazam item database that was saved by archive.org in early to mid 2001 depending on which site is available at the time that I take the info.  All the maps(unless otherwise noted) will be taken from the Seekers of Lore Map collection(link is in sidebar).  Their site is still up and they provide some wonderful maps, I just fear that it may get taken down due to increase traffic like EQatlas was, so I am taking it upon myself to choose that map that I like the best(or fits in this webpage the best) from each zone.

If any of this information is incorrect (ala project 1999) please let me know in the comments section for the appropriate zone and I will try to fix it.

All of the initial Item data is being taken directly from the 20010202 snapshot of Allakhazam from archive.org here is a link to that site: http://web.archive.org/web/20010202140500/eqdb.allakhazam.com/itemzone.html
