SAAR 1st level alltimetable 1948/49-1950/51

During three seasons (1948/49 - 1950/51) Saar played separately from Germany. The best team, 1. FC Saarbrücken, decided not to play in the league, instead their 2nd team joined. From the 1951/52 season the Saar region joined the German structure. The facts for this table have been taken from the F-archiv website. But their claim that 1. FC Saarbrücken (the first team) joined the league for the 1950/51 season is erroneous according to the 1. FC Saarbrücken website which only list games in the Saarland pokal that season. Number of wins, draws and losses are missing from the tables I have used. 2 points for a win. From left to right in the table below: placing, teamname, seasons, games, goals scored, goals conceded, goaldifference and points, You are free to copy this document in non-commercial circumstances, but please state the source, i.e. Clas Glenning.
