Clare is a flautist and teacher based in Durham. She has performed with Royal Northern Sinfonia as well as many other ensembles across the north of England including the Mowbray Orchestra, St Cecelia Orchestra and Lonsdale Baroque Ensemble. She lived for 5 years in Lichfield during which she regularly travelled to perform with Ensemble Cymru, appeared on Classic FM as a founder member of the Darwin Ensemble Chamber Orchestra and was flautist with Eroica Camerata. Concerto performances include Mozart’s Concerto in G Major, Reinecke’s Flute Concerto, Bach’s B Minor Suite and Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. A passionate educator, Clare works for Sage Gateshead as a tutor on their In Harmony project and at the Centre for Advanced Training. She also teaches flute students at Durham University and co-runs Durham Cathedral’s Music Outreach programme.
