Current Affairs & Announcements  -
Our 51 year old District / Pool building was demolished on Tuesday, September 12th.  Unfortunately, while we undergo construction of the new building there will be no electricity to the Tennis courts.  All late evening or night play will have to be done on courts 1-4 at Marker Park.

October 17, 2017 -  The Building Foundation is Complete!

Take a look at some very cool Drone video courtesy of CKRD Board Member - Kevin Haley - Note: Building was demolished on September 12, 2017

We are excited to introduce our new pool building design!  We still need to chose the colors but the structure is now set!

At the beginning of 2014, the Columbine Knolls Recreation District was in a very good place with the addition of our new water slide and large wooden shelter.  We turned our attention to the future and in November of 2014, CKRD set a goal to replace our pool building that is now 51 years old.  Our building was not up to current ADA standards and the options were very limited with what we could do with the building.  We decided against trying to fund the construction of a new building by raising taxes through a bond issue.  This project was going to be self-funded through hard work, financial diligence and a significant $300,000 Jefferson County Open Space Grant.  We are excited to share with you our dream is becoming a reality!  The new building will be brought up to the level of the current pool deck.  No more ramp!  We will add a family bathroom and a community meeting room that can be rented out.  A brand new building will be completed in May 2018 in time for the new pool season!  Please direct any questions via email to Brett at brett@ckrd.org call (303) 979-5120.

The next regular Board Meeting will be held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Normandy Elementary School, 6750 S. Kendall Blvd., Littleton, CO 80128

Swim Lesson Comments from our Patrons:

Here are some of the comments that our swim lesson parents have provided in our Lifeguard Instructor Evaluation forms.

“I will never go anywhere else for swim lessons again. Amazing program.”

“We drive from Wash Park just for these lessons.”

“My daughter went home with the biggest smile and loved every second.

“I am completely impressed and would certainly recommend.”

“I can’t believe how much my twins learned in 2 weeks.”

“We’re beyond pleased with our son’s progress.”

Other adjectives used by our customers to describe our swim lesson program are: kids engaged, controlled, good price, friendly people, always clean, teachers always upbeat and encouraging, the right combo of fun and directive.

At CKRD we constantly strive to improve and impress. Hearing all the positive comments just fuels our fire to provide the best pool experience possible!

A Big "THANK YOU!" to our staff of fantastic Lifeguards and Front Desk workers who go above and beyond every day!

POOL IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC !!

Columbine Knolls Recreation District is a property tax supported local government agency.  The residents who live in the boundary of our district receive a resident rate.  Anyone who lives outside of the district boundary will be charged a Non-Resident rate
