Pool will be open on Weekends ONLY after Sunday, August 16th.  Pool will close for the season on Monday, September 7th.

July 14, 2020 - JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. Beginning Tuesday, all residents and visitors of Jefferson County will be required to wear a mask or cloth face covering when in public settings unless they're able to maintain 6 feet of social distancing, the Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) announced.

The agency issued an Emergency Public Health Order which takes effect July 14 at 5 p.m. It does not require face coverings when in private residences, or in a personal vehicle when traveling alone or with members of your household

There will be significant restrictions. These restrictions are in place per health department regulations and to keep everyone safe and healthy.

 1.    Masks are required for entry into the pool building, this includes using the bathrooms. 

·        Please remain in your vehicle until your swim block starts.

·        Patron’s names will be checked off of a sign up list upon pool entry. 

·        Masks are NOT required outside on the pool deck.

·        The pool area, tables, chairs, and bathrooms will be deep cleaned between each swim block.   

·        High touch areas will be cleaned every 15 minutes throughout the day. 

 2.               Swimming will be divided into three (3) swim blocks per day

    • Morning Block - 8:00 am to 12:00 noon - (Whistles to climb out of the water at 11:45 am)
    • Mid-Day Block - 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm - (Whistles to climb out of the water at 4:15 pm)
    • Evening Block -    5:00 pm to 9:00 pm - (Whistles to climb out of the water at 8:45 pm)

 3.               A maximum of 70 people will be allowed in the facility during each swim block.  This includes non-swimmers and infants.

·        You will NOT be allowed to sign up for more than one (1) swim block per day

  • You Must register each person.  You can put multiple people in your checkout basket, but you have to create an account for each individual person.

·        Extremely large pool inflatable toys or rafts will not be allowed.

 4.               All visitors will be required to sign up and pay online or over the phone before you are able to enter the facility.  This includes non-swimmers and infants.

·        Columbine Knolls Residents - $4.00

·        Non-Residents - $6.00

5.               Each block has a total swimming time of 3 hours and 45 minutes per visit.  

·        Patrons will be asked to leave the pool grounds immediately when their swim time ends.  

o   Any cancellation or swim block date transfer request will need to be made 48 hours in advance for a full refund! - You must call (303) 979-5120 or email brett@ckrd.org to cancel or request a transfer, it can not be done online.

o   Swim blocks and times are transferable over the phone provided there is room in the swim block you are transferring to. 

o   Rain checks will be issued (in the form of a credit card refund or account credit) if our staff calls you out of the water and your swim time has been less than 2 hours

o   We will not offer Thursday morning swim blocks so that we may clean our pool deck each week.


Are pool memberships being offered this summer?

 No pool memberships will be offered this summer. 


Is the baby pool open?

 The baby pool will be closed but the water slide and diving board will be open.  


Adult "Only" Swim?

Due to the high demand and limited amount of swim time per day, there will be NO adult only swim.


Will the snack bar be open?

The snack bar will unfortunately be closed for the summer. The water fountain will also be closed, but the water bottle fill station will be open. 


 Will the water be colder in the mornings or at night?

 We keep our pool at 84 degrees so everyone will be warm in the water no matter if it is morning, noon, or night!  


Can I book a private party? 

 With all the restrictions, we are not able to offer private parties or shelter rentals.

 Please respect that other people will need the opportunity to swim so further restrictions may apply.

Parks and Tennis Courts are open.  

Playgrounds at Marker Park and Columbine Knolls Park are now open with restrictions.  

Due to the Covad-19 virus, when utilizing parks and tennis courts, always practice physical and social distancing. It's recommended to not touch surfaces on which the virus can live and if you do, please use proper handwashing techniques or use hand sanitizer.

Parents please help your children stay safe!

Even though you are outside, please keep the community safe by following the same guidelines as other public spaces:

We expect all park visitors to adhere to public health guidelines and practice Social and Physical Distancing.
  • If you are sick, do not visit parks, and public areas
  • Practice social distancing, even in parks and on trails
  • Bring your own hand sanitizer and/or hand washing supplies
  • Bring your own drinking water to the tennis courts and parks
  • High-risk visitors should use discretion and/or follow the recommendations of your health care provider for park visits and public restroom use

Attention all Tennis Key Holders!
The locks on all the tennis court gates at Marker Park and the Pool courts were changed on 1-6-2020.  Please call (303) 979-5120 to exchange your existing key or arrange for a new tennis key.


The next regular Board Meeting will be held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  Due to the Covad-19 crisis, district Board meetings will be held via video using the "Zoom" app until social gatherings are considered safe again. Please email brett@ckrd.org at least 24 hours before the scheduled meeting if you would like to attend our virtual "Zoom" meeting.  You will receive a link by email to attend using the "Zoom" app.

Columbine Knolls Recreation District is a property tax supported local government agency.  The residents who live in the boundary of our district receive a resident rate.  Anyone who lives outside of the district boundary will be charged a Non-Resident rate
