Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Cj became hooked on writing since age 12 after winning a telegram contest. Feature editor of her HS newspaper and teen columnist for a community paper preceded her marriage and move to Rochester,  MN when her husband landed a job with IBM.
In MN, she freelanced for the local newspaper, and numerous local and national magazines.  A Christmas story titled Llama Bells won another contest in 1984 and was picked up by Seventeen Magazine, and two school literature textbooks.  Winning a grant followed--for a successful MN anthology (Blossoms & Blizzards), showcasing the work of featuring the work of 24 MN authors.
For Rochester's Sesquicentennial in 2004, she organized a Bookfair for 50 local and national authors with Rochester connections and published a catalog containing photos, bios, and book listings of over 120 Rochester writers dating back to 1866.  She’s been a featured speaker for various interest groups, currently showing the Power Point Presentation of her  “Novel Journey” which contains  inspiration and contract since she entered the novel arena with her series in 2015.
On the homefront, she raised 4 adopted children along with a herd of (mostly rescued) horses, dogs and cats, while giving summer riding lessons on the woodsy 12 acre hilltop that she’s called home for the last 35 years. With an empty nest and barn now, MT. Pegasus is a retreat shared  with her retired  hub, a newly-rescued white Schnauzer from Texas, and a herd of hungry white tail deer.
Besides reading, reviewing and writing her own novel series inspired by her favorite author, Diana Gabaldon, she dabbles in quilting during long winters that keep MN writers forever young—cryogenically speaking. In warmer months she’s ventured down to climb a Jamaican waterfall, float in the Dead Sea, Kiss the Blarney Stone and research novel settings that include several Western States, Britain and Ireland.
Proof that kissing the Blarney Stone may dispense the eloquence it promises, The Accidental Wife and The Accidental Stranger have finaled or won multiple Preditor & Editor, Rone and Golden Quill awards, along with a loyal fan base Cj calls her crowned jewels. The Accidental Heiress will complete the trilogy in 2019, followed by a working agenda of romantic and historical suspense novels and a personal anthology of Cj's award-winning stories.
