Evelyn Mae Wilson

November 17, 1933 - August 22, 2024

Evelyn Mae Wilson, 90, of Memphis, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024.

She was born November 17, 1933, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Walter and Kathleen (McMaken) Hillier.

Her marriage to Lawrence Wilson was October 27, 1951, in West Lorne, Ontario, Canada.

Evelyn worked as a registered nurse but spent her last years working in interior design. She enjoyed antiques, traveling, reading historical fiction, and animals, especially cats.

Surviving in addition to her husband Lawrence of 72 years are three children, Marilyn, Clifford, and Diane Wilson; grandchildren, Tracy Wilson and Ryan Sears; and sisters-in-law, Joyce (Hugh) McFadden, Gwen Szabo, Grace Wilson, and Jean Besley.

A memorial service for Evelyn will be held at First United Methodist Church, 81265 Church St, Memphis, MI 48041 on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., visiting will being at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Scott Clark will officiate. A luncheon will follow at Memphis Lions Club, 34758 Pratt Road, Memphis, MI 48041.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Memphis Lions Club (35758 Pratt Rd., Memphis, MI 48041) or Henry Ford Hospice (15855 19 Mile Rd., Clinton Twp., MI 48038).
