35/365 - rain rain go away D:
today was friday. i watched a few episodes of the vampire diaries in the morning/afternoonish, went to the gym with Julia at 3ish, and then at 6 i went to the city for a protest against the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak and his recent acceptance to serve another full term in office at the expense of egyptian democracy!! i took a train to the city and then met my friends Ahmad and Rukiye just in time for the protest. My other friends Ayan, Misk and Reem were already at the front of the protest, with their signs whatnot aha. we joined them at the front and were happily protesting (lol, happily protesting, oxymoron orrrr?) UNTIL THE RAINS CAME DOWN. all of a sudden we went from a hot-ish humid day to torrential rains a'pouring! it was crazy to say the least. we were all walking in water up to our ankles (at one point lol) and the whole of swanston street was pretty much flooding. but we kept going and by this time i was so pumped up with fury that i was making the pro-protester right there lol. when the protest came to an end, me Ahmad Rukiye and Reem went to subway to dry off and eat some subs. and dry off is an understatement lol, we were completely drenchedddd soaked head to toe to undies. bahaah, seriously, my bag was soaked and everything in it. almost. after eating we got coffee/hot chocolates (i got a vanilla latte! it was so yummy!) and then everyone went home. i met my mother and her friends at QV Kopi Tiam for some malay fooods and then we drove home. to my utter shock and annoyance, my phone had GOTTEN WET D: so, following a friend's suggestion, i put it in a bowl of rice straight away. it apparently helps dry out the water. we'll see!!!! so yeah, the first photo is just an image of the pouring rains we had to face, and that wasn't even the worst of it!!!!, the second is my dissatisfaction that my phone had suffered, and the third is my phone taking a leisurely bath in the bowl of rice. awww, it looks adorable!!! photos taken at 8:10pm, 10:48pm and 10:59pm consecutively on the 4th of February 2011 with a nikon d60 using a 50mm f/1.8 lens. edited on photoshop guizeeee. EDIT///// LOL AND WOW HOW SIMILAR IS MY POSE FROM YESTERDAY TO TODAY MIND TRIP WOWOWOWOOWW
"The Fight" The Office (US)
"The Fight" The Office (US)
At Work, about 11 PM... "The Office" (Season 2, yea I know we're in late compared to NBC, which is about to air the season 4 in September) begins... Let's go for about twenty minutes of a non-stop laugh! Note that I do not watched the show on this splitted display but on a full screen LCD :) (hopefully without these technical specs). "The Fight" is the sixth episode of the second season of the television series The Office (U.S. version). It was written by Gene Stupnitsky & Lee Eisenberg and directed by Ken Kwapis. It originally aired on November 1, 2005. After Dwight (Rainn Wilson) karate punches Michael (Steve Carell), Jim (John Krasinski) organizes a lunchtime rematch at Dwight's dojo where Pam (Jenna Fischer) becomes annoyed when Jim gets too friendly. B.J. Novak also stars. Memorable Quotes from "The Fight" : "Dwight Schrute: I come from a long line of fighters. My maternal grandfather was the toughest guy I ever knew. World War Two veteran killed twenty men and spent the rest of the war in an Allied prison camp. My father battled blood pressure and obesity all his life. Different kind of fight."
