About CERTPlus

Welcome to Citizens for CERT, doing business as CERTPlus.

CERTPlus offers free full program support to local CERT providers.
Our mission is to support Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) sponsored by local municipalities and county governments.
Our team provides basic CERT and supplementary courses such as Emergency Communications and Animal Response.
CERTPlus can be a valuable resource to those municipalities wanting to start CERT classes or needing support for existing programs.

CERT educates citizens about disasters and offers hands-on training to prepare those who may not have immediate assistance in a disaster.
Students learn
basic response skills such as fire suppression, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

Our members include certified instructors, grant writers, graphic designers, webmasters, amateur radio operators and organizers.
CERTPlus has training equipment, presentations, handouts, brochures and instructional displays.
Our membership has years of experience with preparedness training and can assist in organizing or expanding CERT programs.

It is our goal to volunteer resources (people, expertise and equipment) for outstanding training at little or no cost to local government.

Citizens for CERT dba CERTPlus is incorporated as a public charity non-profit 501-3C in the State of Tennessee.
Registered in Shelby County, CERTPlus serves the Mid-South.
