African American Women continue to bear the heaviest burden of new HIV diagnoses representing 62% (AIDS Vu, 2016). 
African Americans represent 64% of the population diagnosed with HIV in NC (CDC, 2015)
African American women accounted for 71% of new diagnoses in North Carolina (CDC, 2018).
