WHAT IS CINEKU

Mission Statement

CINEMA + HAIKU =  CINEKU

Cineku is the Haiku Version of Cinema.

Like Japanese Haiku poems Cineku  ( Pronounced Cine –Koo ) is a unique new form of Cinema consisting of a very short film of 3 shots each, conveying a central idea  in the briefest
 possible use of shots.




RULES :

1. The film should consist of only Three shots

2. Shot length shouldn’t be more than 40 Seconds and the Maximum length of the film should be
One Minute


3. There should not be any Optical or Computer-graphic modification of images.  In Camera effects are allowed.



HAIKU

/hikoo/  noun (pl. same or haikus) a Japanese poem of seventeen  syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five. (Oxford Dictionary)

Haiku expresses much and suggests more in the fewest possible words

The following THREE Shots and the descriptions will explain

the Concept of CINEKU




From the close up of a smiling girl the camera moves down  to her hand. An engagement ring is put on her fingers and her hand is lifted up and kissed by her fiancee and he moves towards her.







In close up, a small child  plants a kiss on the cheeks of the mother  and as the camera moves for a wider view as the child try to kiss the father.








From the close up of burning candles the camera moves showing a wreath and the dead body of the father. The child led by the mother comes and kisses the father as the mother breaks down, The image goes out of focus.

Vegetables, wood and ..... life

is the story of a young couple in love and the tragic end -
