School is starting up which mean BBYO is back! We had our first event this past Sunday at the J. Our kickoff event featured pizza, gym games, and a chance to rekindle friendships, both old and new! With nearly 40 teens in attendance the kickoff was a great start to the BBYO calendar. We are looking forward to some fun and engaging programs this year.
There are three important dates to put on your calendar to start the fall:
- Tuesday, September 2nd both Ner Tamid and Mishpocha are having a preelection meeting at 7 pm. The current boards will be going over the aspiration packets, which can be found attached to this post and will also be available at the meeting. Please aspire to your chapter president as well as either Freddie or Abby by September 5th.
- Tuesday, September 9th from 6:00-8:00 we will be holding elections for the fall/winter term. All are encouraged to attend this meeting. Even if you are not running for a position, you can still vote and influence who will be on the Fall/Winter 2014 boards. If you are running, prepare a speech and wear your Shabbat best. Remember, no politicking please!
- Sunday, September 14th from 5:00-6:15 the new boards will be installed in the board rooms of the JCC. All parents and teens are invited and encouraged to attend this ceremony.
As always, new friends are welcome at any event!
All the best,
Abby and Freddie
