borough project on loneliness

A recent meeting of the Richmond Interfaith Forum included a presentation by the council's Ms Jane Bailey. The borough is asking faith-based organisations (and the local humanists) to help with its project on loneliness. There is no shortage of help for the isolated; the challenge is people's not knowing about such help

The work is described in this paper for the council. Central to this project is the community independent living service. We are asked to put isolated people in touch with that service. Hampton is covered by something called the Community Partnership on 8831 6464 and

Some forum-members may already be in touch with this project, and it may be a subject for discussion and action by the forum, as could food-banks.
