Fire Prevention and Safety Presentations can be conducted at our station or your facility. We will work cooperatively to tailor our presentation to the specific age group and needs of the participants. We have provided prevention programs for children of all ages and conducted fire extinguisher training, evacuation drills, and similar programs for adult audiences. To schedule a program contact us or call our Safety Committee Chairman Dan Silvis at 724-349-3530. We believe that prevention and education are the most important steps in protecting our community.
On April 11, 1958 the membership of the Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Company voted to sponsor a local Boy Scout Troop. Today, we continue that tradition and are proud to sponsor Troop 10. The fire company believes scouting teaches important values that will help assure the best future for our youth. The scouts hold two spaghetti dinners each year at the station generally in April and November.
Sponsored by the Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, the kids Easter Egg Hunt is held at the Cherryhill Township Municipal Building 164 Spaulding Road rain or shine the Saturday before Easter. The hunt is divided by age and grade divisions (6th grade and under) and begins at 11:00 am.
Every participant receives treats and a fire safety coloring book. We also ensure a fire truck is available for kids to enjoy. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring their cameras. For more information contact us.
Trick or Treat night is established by the Cherryhill Township Board of Supervisors annually. Trick or Treat is from 5-7 pm and is followed by a Kids Halloween Party at the fire station. The kids party is for children ages 12 and under. All attendees receive a treat bag with a fire safety coloring book. Prizes are awarded for costumes in various categories. Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras.
During trick or treat hours the fire company provides safe havens at the east and west ends of Penn Run and, manpower permitting, in Diamondville. We also control the speed of motorists by using roving traffic control during established hours. For more information, contact us
Sponsored by the Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, the Blood Mobile is held between Christmas and New Years annually. Your contribution could help save a life. For more information contact us.
Care and Share Day
The Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary collects donations of non-perishable foods to help needy families in Indiana County in conjunction with ICCAP Care and Share Day held in June annually. The date is advertised by ICCAP and our station serves as a collection site. Help us help those in our community that are in need.
