POST SECONDARY INSTITUTION REQUIREMENTS

The University of Akron and Wayne College: http://www.uakron.edu

Grades 9 and 10 -

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75

Minimum ACT composite of 26 or SAT of 1150 (critical reading and math combined)

Grade of at least a B+ in all English courses

Essay required regarding why the student wants to enroll in PSEOP

Must have a letter of recommendation from a high school guidance counselor

Limited to one course per semester

Application deadline is May 15th for fall semester enrollment

Grades 11 and 12 -

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 with a minimum ACT composite of 24 or SAT  of 1110 (critical reading and math combined)

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 with ACT/SAT scores used for placement purposes

Limited to 14 credit hours per semester

Application deadline is May 15th for fall semester enrollment

 

 

Cuyahoga Community College: http://www.tri-c.edu

Grades 9 and 10 -

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 overall

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in subject areas

CCC placement test in math and English

9th grade students are limited to one class

10th grade students are limited to two classes

Grades 11 and 12 -

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 overall

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in subject areas

CCC placement test in math and English

11th and 12th graders may take full time class loads

Grades 9 and 10 -

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.90 for 9th grade students

Minimum cumulative GPA for 3.70 for 10th grade students

Minimum ACT composite of 24 or LCCC placement test in reading, writing, and math

Students limited to one class

Grades 11 and 12 -

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 for 11th grade students

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 for 12th grade students

Minimum ACT composite of 24 or LCCC placement test in reading, writing, and math

Students may take full time class loads

Grades 11 and 12 only - 

Minimum cumulative GPA  of 3.00

Minimum ACT composite of 21 or SAT of 980 (critical reading and math combined)

Students must have completed two years of a college prep program prior to applying

Application deadline is August 1st for fall semester and December 1st for spring semester

Must submit a separate application for each semester
