posted Mar 7, 2013, 6:32 AM by Molly Bennett

I just saw a post about where to purchase a Samsung Chromebook Screen if you want to replace it yourself. Screen cost is $169.  Samsung will also fix the screen for about $200.

Developer Mode on the Samsung XE Mod

posted Jan 25, 2013, 7:18 AM by Molly Bennett

  1. Press ESC + Samsung Chromebook Refresh key + POWER. The screen displays a yellow exclamation point (!).

  2. Press CTRL + D to begin dev mode, then ENTER. The screen displays a red exclamation point.

  3. Press CTRL + D, then ENTER. The Chromebook deletes its local data, returning to its initial state. The deletion takes approximately 15 minutes.

  4. When the transaction completes, press the spacebar, then press ENTER to return to verified mode.

Chrome Disk Full

posted Jan 11, 2013, 1:33 PM by Molly Bennett   [ updated Feb 13, 2013, 10:49 AM ]

In one of our last training sessions some of our teachers were trying to install Chrome Apps and Extensions and they were not able to because the Chromebooks were staying that the "Chrome Disk was Full."

After a few conversations with some other Chromebook users this was a suggestion that someone posted.

I have had that happen a few times. Those students have had many pages of
unneeded Apps. I have them delete many of the apps and than clear the
cache. That has helped all my situations so far but I would love to hear
    from others out there!
