Florida Virtual

Motivated students can take full online courses through Florida Virtual School. These year-long (1 credit) and semester-long (.5 credit) classes require at least as much work as a traditional face-to-face class.

Englewood Schools has partnered with Florida Virtual School (FLVS) to offer online classes to high schools students. FLVS offers 110+ courses, including core subjects, world languages, electives, honors, and 15 Advanced Placement courses. FLVS courses are accepted for credit, are transferable, and are NCAA approved.

These courses are available to students if the following criteria are met:
  • District funding is available or the student agrees to pay the full cost of the course(s)
  • The requested course is not offered at Englewood High School or Colorado's Finest or there is a schedule conflict that cannot be remedied
  • The student must have their own access to a phone, a computer, and internet service
  • The student must sign a promissory note and contract agreeing to repay the district for the cost of tuition if the class is not completed with a grade of C or better

Florida Virtual Enrollment

Students can enroll in a Florida Virtual course on a rolling basis (classes start every month or so). Talk to Sarah (counselor) and then fill out the following paperwork:
