Initially taking up organ lessons in 1994 I started playing the alto saxophone in 1997 which was later to become my primary instrument.

Since then I have had 5 years experience playing with a soul band, performing covers of classic tracks such as:

  • Respect
  • Mustang Sally
  • Proud Mary
  • Son of a Preacher Man
  • Cantaloupe Island
  • I just want to make love to you (Coke Ad)

In 2006 I joined LSU Tuxedo Swing, playing lead alto (occassionally depping on tenor 1, vocals or piano)

This band covers a wide range of music and caters for a wide range of audiences. Typical pieces include:

  • Nou's Blue
  • Harlem Nocturne
  • Soul Bossa Nova
  • Sing, Sing, Sing
  • In The Mood
  • Tuxedo Junction
  • Bad
  • Birdland
  • Lullaby of Birdland

Vocal numbers include:

  • Fly Me to the Moon (In Other Words)
  • I Get a Kick Out of You
  • I've Got You Under My Skin
Outside of these bands I have played in the pit for LSU Stage Society's productions of "Sweet Charity" and "The Fully Monty" and 'depped' for a couple of function bands including
