Christine C. Bruels-Testerman, Ph.D.
My research interests can be broadly defined as the application of genetic and molecular biology tools to address important questions. My PhD dissertation research focused on the application of population genetic methodologies to the conservation of endangered marine predators. In my current postdoctoral position I am using genomic, molecular genetic, and high throughput screening approaches to identify genes and pathways involved in muscular dystrophies and to evaluate potential therapeutic compounds. I have taught undergraduate Genetics as an adjunct professor. In addition I have executive, management and sales experience in the biotech industry.
