I am a former German diplomat, now exploring the theoretical side of international relations. I am a Professor of Practice in Political Science at Tulane University.

My dissertation explores the direct and indirect effects non-state conflict management initiatives have on African civil wars. My general research and teaching interests include the role of non-state actors in international diplomacy, transnational advocacy networks, and interest group politics in the U.S. political system.
