I was born in the volcanic highlands (2800m) of Quito, Ecuador. My research focuses on resource management in wireless and wired networks and on the simulation and implementation of communication system prototypes, using mainly open-source hardware and software platforms.
My current research interests include: UAV-enabled communications, wireless networks, software-defined radio (SDR), optical networks, and machine learning applied to communications systems and networks.
