Click to hear and watch The Trinity Choir, conducted by Dr. Owen Burdick, will present Johannes Brahms' singularly beautiful "Liebeslieder" Waltzes (opus 65) together with what is arguably his masterwork, The German Requiem (Ein Deutsches Requiem, opus 45). Both works will be presented in their original settings for soloists, choir, and 4-hand piano.

                                                                                                                        Click to hear and watch as Trinity Church celebrates the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth with the world premiere of Robert D. Levin's completion of Mozart's Mass in C Minor using historical instruments and sung by The Trinity Choir, Owen Burdick (conductor). Commissioned by Carnegie Hall, Levin thoroughly examined Mozart's compositions manuscript sources and surviving sketches to complete this masterwork.

"For listeners familiar with the standard performing versions of the Mass," Levin says, "seven of the nineteen movements will be new...so there will be many surprises." As with his completion of the Requiem, Levin gives us a brilliant glimpse of the intended grandeur of this sacred masterpiece. Imagine, restoring the arms to the Venus de Milo!
