ALMA Redemptoris Mater, quae pervia caeli
Porta manes, et stella maris, succurre cadenti,
Surgere qui curat, populo: tu quae genuisti,
Natura mirante, tuum sanctum Genitorem
Virgo prius ac posterius, Gabrielis ab ore
Sumens illud Ave, peccatorum miserere.

Canite tuba in Sion,
quia prope est dies Domini,
ecce venit ad salvandum nos.
Erunt prava in directa,
et aspera in vias planas:
veni Domine, et noli tardare.
Alleluja.

Rorate coeli de super,
et nubes pluant justum;
aperiatur terra,
et germinet salvatorem.
Ostende nobis Domine,
misericordiam tuam,
et salutare tuum da nobis.
Veni Domine, et noli tardare.
Alleluja.

Deus tu conversus vivificabis nos
et plebs tua laetabitur in te.
Ostende nobis Domine misericordiam tuam,
et salutare tuum da nobis

Hodie Christus natus est: noe, noe ...
Hodie Salvator apparuit:  noe, noe ...
Hodie in terra canunt Angeli,
laetantur Archangeli: noe, noe ...
Hodie exsultant justi, dicentes:
Gloria in excelsis Deo: noe, noe ...

Missa "Hodie Christus natus est"

(Entire work, Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus, Agnus Dei)

O magnum mysterium,
et admirabile sacramentum
ut animalia viderent Dominum
natum, jacentem in praesepio!
Natum vidimus et chorus angelorum
collaudentes Dominum.  Alleluia.
Quem vidistis pastores?
Dicite, annunciate nobis quis apparuit?
Natum vidimus et chorus angelorum
collaudentes Dominum.  Alleluia.

Tui sunt caeli et tua est terra,
orbem terrarum et plenitudinem ejus tu fundasti.
Justitia et judicium praeparatio sedis tuae.
(Ps 88, 12,15)

O admirabile commercium! Creator generis human
de Virgine nasci dignatus est;
et procedens homo sine semine,
largitus est nobis suam deitatem.

Christe, Redemptor omnium,
ex Patre, Patris unice,
solus ante principium
natus ineffabiliter,

Tu lumen, tu splendor Patris,
tu spes perennis omnium,
intende quas fundunt preces
tui per orbem servuli.

Memento salutis auctor,
quod nostri quondam corporis,
ex illibata Virgine
nascendo, formam sumpseris.

Hic praesens testatur dies,
currens per anni circulum,
quod a solus sede Patris
mundi salus adveneris;

Hunc caelum, terra, hunc mare,
hunc omne quod in eis est,
auctorem adventus tui
laudat exsultans cantico.

Nos quoque, qui sancto tuo
redempti sumus sanguine,
ob diem natalis tui
hymnum novum concinimus.

Gloria tibi domine
qui natus es de Virgine,
cum Patre et almo Spiritu,
in sempiterna saecula. Amen.

Hodie Christus natus est,
Hodie Salvator apparuit,
Hodie in terra canunt Angeli,
laetantur Archangeli,
Hodie exsultant justi, dicentes,
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Magnificat anima mea Dominum
Fecit potentiam in brachio suo, dispersit superbos mente cordis sui.
sicut erat in principio,
et nunc, et in sempiterna. Amen

Hodie Christus natus est,
Hodie Salvator apparuit,
Hodie in terra canunt Angeli,
laetantur Archangeli,
Hodie exsultant justi, dicentes,
Gloria in excelsis Deo.

Mother of Christ, hear thou thy people's cry
Star of the deep and Portal of the sky!
Mother of Him who thee made from nothing made.
Sinking we strive and call to thee for aid:
Oh, by what joy which Gabriel brought to thee,
Thou Virgin first and last, let us thy mercy see.

Sound the trumpets in Zion,
for the day of the Lord is at hand.
Lo, he comes to save us.
The straight paths have become crooked,
the smooth paths rough.
Come, Lord, and do not tarry.
Alleluia.

Drop from above, oh heavens,
and let the skies rain justice;
let the earth open,
and bring forth salvation.
Show us, oh Lord,
Your mercy
,
and give to us your bounty.
Come, Lord, and do not tarry.
Alleluia.

Turn unto us, O God, and quicken us:

And Thy people shall rejoice in Thee.

Show us Thy mercy, O Lord,

and grant us Thy salvation.

Today Christ is born: noe, noe ...
Today the Savior appeared: noe, noe ...
Today on Earth the Angels sing,
Archangels rejoice:  noe, noe ...
Today the righteous rejoice, saying:
Glory to God in the highest: noe, noe ...

O great mystery,  and wonderful sacrament,
that animals should see the new-
born Lord, lying in their manger!

The new-born we have seen and a chorus of angels praising God.  Alleluia.

Whom have you seen, shepherds?

Speak, tells us who has appeared?

The newborn we have seen and a chorus of angels praising God.  Alleluia.
.

O wondrous exchange! The Creator of the human race
deigned to be born of a Virgin,
and born as a man without man's aid,
bestowed upon us his divinity.

JESU, the Father's only Son,
whose death for all redemption won,
before the worlds, of God most high,
begotten all ineffably.
The Father's Light and Splendor Thou
their endless Hope to Thee that bow:
accept the prayers and praise today
that through the world Thy servants pay.

Salvation's author, call to mind
how, taking the form of humankind,
born of a Virgin undefiled,
Thou in man's flesh becamest a Child.

Thus testifies the present day
Through every year in long array,
that Thou, salvation's source alone
proceedest from the Father's Throne.

Whence sky, and stars, and sea's abyss,
and earth, and all that therein is,
shall still, with laud and carol meet,
the Author of thine Advent greet.

And we who, by Thy precious Blood
from sin redeemed, are marked for God,
on this, the day that saw Thy Birth,
sing the new song of ransomed earth
.

All honor, laud, and glory be,
O Iesu, Virgin-born, to Thee;
whom with the Father we adore,
and Holy Ghost forevermore. Amen.

Today Christ is born,
Today the Savior appeared,
Today on Earth the Angels sing,
Archangels rejoice,
Today the righteous rejoice, saying:
Glory to God in the highest.

My soul doth magnify the Lord and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he hath regarded the lowliness of his handmaiden.
For behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath magnified me and holy is his Name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him throughout all generations.
He hath shewed strength with his arm he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He hath put down the mighty from their seat and hath exalted the humble and meek.
He hath filled the hungry with good things / and the rich he hath sent empty away.
He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel / as he promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed for ever.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Today Christ is born,
Today the Savior appeared,
Today on Earth the Angels sing,
Archangels rejoice,
Today the righteous rejoice, saying:
Glory to God in the highest.
