Salam!

Welcome to my website!

I am a PhD student in history at McGill University in Montréal, specialising in the Ottoman Empire. I did my MA in Islamic studies here at McGill, and my BA in international relations at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

Apart from history, I'm interested in politics, religion, culture, languages, music, travel, and all sorts of other stuff. I love rainy weather and tea. I am a Muslim, a mild Belarusian nationalist, and a proud Bengali. I believe that conviction and inclusiveness can easily go hand in hand.
