I am Choonsik (Chris) Lee, working as an Associate Professor (with Tenure) of Finance at the University of Rhode Island.
My research focuses on corporate governance practices, specifically for information dissemination, disclosures, and proxy voting. Often, I use shareholder activism, from Schedule 13D filings to proxy contests, as a setting to investigate my research questions.
I have certain skill sets to process large datasets efficiently. I also use web crawling and semantic searches to deal with corporate filings from the SEC EDGAR and other sources. Recently, I started using the Llama-3.3-70B-Instruct model to automate certain analyst tasks, and I will be posting a research paper on this soon!
