March 23, 2014 I Can't believe it has been 2 years !! And you may probably notice the pattern here of the yearly update on March. Haha, maybe it has something to do with the nice weather of Spring... So what do I do? Except for working on a shooter game, I just GOT MY UE4 SUBSCRIPTION!!! As a fan of Unreal, it is the second best thing I can imagine, with the 1st being UT4 announcement. I have started to learn the engine, and will try to find out what I can do with it. Meanwhile, the UT3 maps I started one year ago are still on-going. March 20, 2012 Long time! Just another year busy with bullshit sort of things. Well, the UDK MOD I mentioned last year turned out to be a pointless project. The map I designed was converted to an UT3 DM map so that it didn't have to be wasted. The map is called DM-SerenityBay now, and it's FINALIZED! I have uploaded the map. Check this page to know more about this map! A nice picture taken with my camera: March 1, 2011 So here I want to show you two screenshots of what I am making. This is a map for our WIP mod which is using UDK. First, the unlit one. Some textures are temporary or missing. And the lighting only version, the lighting is rough, but you get a clue of what kind of atmosphere it's going to be. June 12, 2010 DM-Glacial is officially finished! Check this page.
Finally it's done! This is the last one of the old unfinished doable betas. If I were to make another map, it would be a fresh one.
A interesting picture of the making progress:

It's been a half year since the last time I added something here. Well, one reason is google sites got blocked in China and I couldn't visit here without using proxy stuff. And sometimes the connection through proxy can be really unstable which make it very uncomfortable to update these pages online. Another reason is I got something else to do instead of mapping until recently. I am currently working on DM-Gloom. I've been remaking it entirely in 3dsmax. You may check out the links below if you are interested. In two weeks it will be the Chinese New Year and I shall return my hometown to enjoy the holidays, so I won't do anything about mapping, but before that, I plan to release a beta.
July 28, 2009 Added a tutorial on making dodging up ramps in UT3. July 25, 2009 Q3ProTourney4 is finally solid! Check this page to download it! July 8, 2009 The final candidate 1 for Q3ProTourney4 is coming!
June 21, 2009Today's Father's day, so best whishes to my father!
It has been 3 months since the last post. Time is passing away and now it's summer. I am still working on Q3PT4 for a couple of hours per week, and today the forth beta is released, which means it's almost getting close to the final stage. Hopefully about in less than one month it can be done.
You can still check the threads below for more information.
See this (lighting based on lightmap looks nice, but took me much time to unwrap UV for the meshes):
