You've reached Chockalingam's research website. I am a recent (Apr 2024) PhD graduate from MIT's AeroAstro department where I also completed my Master's degree in Sep 2019. At MIT, I worked in  Professor Tal Cohen's Nonlinear Solid Mechanics Group. I will soon start a postdoctoral researcher position at Purdue University where I was awarded the Lillian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellowship.

I was born and brought up in Chennai, India. I received my B.Tech degree with Honors from the Aerospace Engineering department at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. My academic and research interests lie primarily in the study of mechanics of materials using both theoretical and computational methods. You can find out more by exploring the tabs at the top.
