You've reached Chockalingam's research website. I am currently a postdoctoral research assistant at Purdue University where I was awarded the Lillian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellowship. I completed my PhD and Master's degrees from MIT's AeroAstro department and my undergraduate B.Tech degree with honors from the Aerospace Engineering department at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). At MIT, I worked in Professor Tal Cohen's Nonlinear Solid Mechanics Group and at IITM I worked with Professor Shyam Keralavarma.
I was born and brought up in Chennai, India. My academic and research interests lie primarily in the study of mechanics of materials, both synthetic and living, using theoretical and computational methods. You can find out more by exploring the tabs at the top.
