Your eyebrows add strenght and definition to your face. Well groomed eyebrows enhance your beauty...
Maintaining your brows is something that should be done on a weekly basis. Mistakes can easily be made and sometimes can't be fixed. Did you know your eyebrow should start directly above the inner corner of your eye. The highest point should be just a little beyond the outer corners of the iris and taper off the end. Also instead of using a pencil, opt for a powder to add colour to your brows for a more natural look.
- Plucking your eyebrows before you go to bed allow the redness to go down by the morning.
- Use a slant edge tweezers as these grip the hair easily. Comb the hairs one way to remove any loose hairs.
- You should only pluck the hairs between the eyebrows and any stray hairs below the eyebrow. Never remove any hairs from above the brow.
- Pluck each hair individually at the root, pulling the way the hair grows.
- Avoid over plucking.
Creating The Perfect Eyebrows:
1. Brush the brows upwards, carefully trim any excess hair above your natural arch. Be careful not to take too much off... it will leave you with bald spots.
2.Many people make the mistake of taking too much off at the outer corners. Look closely at your shape: Your brow should start at your tear duct, peak at the outer edge of your iris and end at the corner of your eye.
3.Prep the skin. Using a cotton pad soaked with witch hazel and wipe the brow area.
4.By holding a pencil across to the outside of the iris and note where the peak of your arch naturally occurs. From the arch to the corner of your eye, your brow should fall straight or slightly curved, it depends on the look you would like to acheive.
5.Hold the tweezers at a 45degree angle and pluck the stray hairs below the brow line. Pull in the direction of the hair growth or you might break the hair mid shaft. Follow your natural brow shape, not the trends. Its difficult for eyebrows to grow back into their natural shape after they have been plucked.
Choose a pencil and powder in the correct shade, women with fair complexions should choose a blonde, women with olive skin should go for a tawny or a brown and black skin should use grey.
Brush the brows downward with a brow brush or a dry mascara like wand. To define the arch, use the to draw a line along the upper edge of the eyebrow. Comb the brows upwards and outwards.
For added fullness, dust your eye shadow into the hairs of the brow, with a stiff slanted brush. Dip the brush into the powder and use short gentle strokes when applying.
If your brows are severely overtweezed, brush the hairs in the direction of growth, and fill in any patches with powder, avoid applying it to the top and bottom of your brows.
Finish using a clear eyebrow gel, clear mascara works just as well. Gel through the hairs to set in place.
