Here is a video editing to observe the contrasted responses between pairs of convict cichlids during an intruder test (we placed an intruder into the pairs’ territory).  A part of my research project is about the link between personality and sexual selection. I am particularly interested about the influence of the combination of partners’ behavioural type on their reproductive success. In
convict cichlids, a monogamous fish species with biparental care, we have firstly observed that matched partners for personality had a better reproductive success than mismatched partners, and secondly that mismatched partners can converge to improve their reproductive success.
