Matching Keys

In 2014, a committee was formed to begin the long process of reviewing and evaluating digital keyboards.

Our goal is to purchase an 88-key digital keyboard with true piano sound and touch, a broad range of synthesized instrumental sounds, and the ability to tune to the handbells and chimes.

Project: Matching Keys

Success! Keyboard & System
purchased January 2016.

Goal: $3,800

The Committee has selected a Yamaha Stage Piano with external speakers, stands, cases, and accessories. Our goal is to have it available by February for our up-coming Spring Concert Series and Tour and to expand our musical outreach to local care facilities. Contributions toward the overall cost may be made by using the Donate button to the left or individual items may be contributed below. Thank you for your on-going assistance as we spread music throughout the Community.

Speakers: $300 each

Wheeled Case for Speakers: $120

Keyboard Stand: $60

Keyboard Bench: $50

Keyboard Music Stand: $40

Hard-shelled Keyboard Case on Wheels: $400

Why Digital?

Our music travels. And handbells cannot tune to local keyboards.

The literature is rich with compositions for handbells with both piano and organ accompaniment. Our repertoire is currently limited by our inability to reliably find or borrow keyboard instruments that are tuned with our handbells and chimes.
