Commissioning Music

In 2014, we set out to commission our first work created especially for our Community Music Day, a time when we bring together children and adults, ringers, singers, and instrumentalists, beginners, professionals, and amateurs, all lovers of music.

With a $600 grant from the Woodbury Bethlehem Community Music Foundation to kick start the project along with contributions for our supporters, we engaged Rob Hugh, Connecticut teacher and composer for our first commissioned work.

The goal of our commissions, is to have works that involve the entire community.

We are now looking to future Community Music Days with a goal to raise funds for a second commissioned community work.

Your contribution to Chime In! can help create a community tradition.
