Ring In the New Year
Dinner & Bells
January or February

Ring In the New Year is a community event sponsored by Chime In! Music With a Mission, Inc. The evening includes dinner accompanied by conversation, a mini-concert of handbell music, and audience participation.  Members of the audience ring handchimes to accompany everyone singing familiar songs or step up to conduct the handbell choirs. Before the evening is over, everyone has been part of making music.

Each year, Chime In! Music With a Mission, hosts area musicians including church choirs, the local school choirs, and others for a day of music preparation that culminates with a public concert.

Bethlehem Fair Concert
First Saturday after Labor Day
More Information

To begin each year, we present a concert of the music from the previous year on the main stage of the Bethlehem Fair, the local agricultural fair that draws people from around the state and region. Our music is amplified and broadcast over a large area of the fair grounds and we reach a very different audience than at most of our performances. As people hear our music, they come to the concert arena and participate in our music. During the concert we invite members of the audience to ring along and to sing along as we perform.

Celestial Moments: A Candlelit Evening of Handbell Music and Seasonal Readings

Bethlehem, Connecticut is a small (pop. 3600), New England town with a small white church on the green with a name, Bethlehem, that evokes images of Christmas. Known as the Christmas Town, it is a popular destination for many people during December. Each year, a town-wide, two-day festival is held and visitors from around the state and region come for the Christmas spirit. Handbells have long been associated with Christmas and as a result, our choirs are involved in creating that spirit in Bethlehem.
