Based upon Hannah #2's suggestion, I'm listening to Gavin DeGraw on Grooveshark, and I have to admit that I'm enjoying the music! Not totally something I would normally pick up, but it's really good. Thanks Hannah!

Okay, now I'm trying Panic! At the Disco...

Top 10 list of guys!

posted Jul 10, 2012, 8:28 AM by Karley Allis

Here's my top 10 list of iguys from the media!

10. Robert Downy Jr.
You loved him in Iron man, you loved him in Sherlock Holmes, and you loved him in the Soloist. He's the perfect guy for the witty and clever type!

9. Ryan Reynolds
Who doesn't love Ryan Reynolds? (I prefer him over Ryan Gosling, actually! Though i must say Gosling is funnier.)

8. Jack Barakat
Jack is the LOVELY guitarist from my favorite band All Time Low. He has his own clothing line with Glamour Kills Clothing called JAGK!

7. Synyster Gates
Syn is the lead guitarist from Avenged Sevenfold. He might seem scary but he built his guitar career teaching kids how to play!

6. Brendon Urie
Brendon is also on Hannah's list, and for a reason ;) This boy can sing! His band is Panic! At The Disco

5. Joe Kirkland
Joe is the lead singer of Artist Vs. Poet (I posted one of their songs before) and super talented (not to mention quite good-looking too)

4. Jordan Witzegrueter
Jordan is from The Ready Set! He's a really sweet guy who just loves making music!

3. Martin Freeman
From his upcoming movie, the hobbit to his role as John Watson in BBC's Take on Sherlock Holmes, Martin never fails to do an amazing job as an actor!

2. Christofer Drew Ingle
Chris heads up the band NeverShoutNever! His music is always upbeat and never fails to put you in a good mood!

1. Alex Gaskarth

There is a reason Alex Gaskarth is my number one. He's inspirational, a brilliant singer , guitarist, and lyricist, and everything good. He, along with Jack Barakat (see above) founded All Time Low their freshman year of highschool, and look where they are today!

Well there you have it folks,  I posted my top 10 list of incredible guys in the media, those who inspire me to be awesome like they are... coming soon is my top 10 list of girls!

Somebody I Used to Know (COVER)

This is a ridiculous cover of the popular song by Gotye done by the extremely talented people from "Walk Off The Earth" Check out their songs! Their Channel
The fact that they are all playing the same guitar boggles my mind, it's so cool how they made this song thier own!

The Dragonborn Comes-- Skyrim

Another cover, coming from the wildly talented Malukah from the very popular elder scrolls game Skyrim. I couldnt believe one person could do all that but i guess she proves me wrong!

The One That Got Away- Cover

This is just ONE video from the amazing and talented Christina Grimme, who got her start on YouTube and is now touring all over the world with Selena Gomez! I've been personally a fan of her for a while, she does regular covers and writes her own music so check out her channel! Her Channel

Different People- Artist vs. Poet

This one isn't a cover-- it's a band. Artist vs. Poet is an extremely talented and unique band that comes from Texas.... crazy good check them out here

Just a little something for the music lovers out there, hope you enjoy!

Steve vs. Joe (Blue's Clues)

posted Jun 26, 2012, 2:04 PM by Hannahmo   [ updated Jun 26, 2012, 2:08 PM ]

So everyone knows the show Blue's Clues and its awesomeness, right? Well anyways since Blue's Clues is my 2nd favorite show, I must put in my two cents about the major differences between the two "brothers" Steve and Joe.

  • Steve is cool
  • Steve is funny
  • Steve is better at figuring out what Blue really wants
  • I like Steve

That's all I got to say for Steve (my hero).

  • Joe is not cool
  • Joe is not funny
  • Joe does not know what Blue wants
  • I don't really like Joe all that much

Yup. Joe is kind of a weenie sometimes. I mean if you look closely at Steve's picture on the left, you can see how talented he is at drawing.  Joe, however, can't even make a simple paper cut out of a hand. Stuff like this really makes me sad. :(

P.S. Can anyone explain this picture to me? It looks like Joe is creeping on Steve.

My Favorite Musicians and Actors <3

In alphabetical order, I will name  my favorite celebrities. :)

1. Michael Buble

Michael Buble is my favorite singer.
While Michael Buble does lean a bit more toward mainstream, popular styles, he is mainly a jazz artist. His voice is extremely smooth.

2. Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon has done a lot of stuff when it comes to comedy and acting. He is pretty well-known for being an SNL cast member. Jimmy Fallon has a late night show that I try to watch as much as possible and he has a song  called "Idiot Boyfriend".  I will admit that "Idiot Boyfriend" is a  very weird song but I still like it.

3. Alex Gaskarth

Alex Gaskarth is the lead singer of the band, All Time Low. All Time Low has a great sound and I listen to them a lot. A lot of people (like Karley) find Alex Gaskarth to be very attractive.

4. Sterling Knight

Sterling Knight is a Disney Channel actor. Yes I know he has a contract with Disney, but that doesn't make him bad. I especially liked him in the movie 17 Again.

5. Adam Levine

Adam Levine is the lead singer of my favorite band, Maroon 5. Maroon 5 has a really unique sound and I love Adam's voice.

6. B.J. (Benjamin Joesph) Novak

B.J. Novak plays as Ryan on one of my favorite shows, The Office. Though Ryan is not my favorite character (Ryan is kind of a jerk) B.J .Novak seems like a pretty cool dude.

7. Brendon Urie

Brendon Urie is the lead singer of one of my favorite bands, Panic! at the Disco. Panic! at the Disco has amazing songs and I would recommend checking them out if you ever have the time. My friend Hannah also likes Panic! at the Disco.

Yo Gabba Gabba!

posted Jun 26, 2012, 12:58 PM by Hannahmo   [ updated Jun 26, 2012, 1:44 PM ]

Yo Gabba Gabba is a half-hour interactive series that is highly focused on music, dance,  and color. Yo Gabba Gabba teaches simple life lessons to preschoolers. DJ Lance  brings to life Plex the robot and four friendly monsters, who interactively teach children as they sing, dance, laugh and play in their colorful and musical world.  Yo Gabba Gabba can be viewed on Nick Jr. and it is my favorite show! :)

Here is some more information about the main characters...

A male little green monster. He is the drummer for the Gabba band.  He likes to try new foods and has a party in his tummy in almost every episode.

A male friendly red cyclops. He's tall and somewhat clumsy. Muno is a bug lover. He is also the band's guitarist.

A female flower character who is pink and happy.
She loves flowers, rainbows and unicorns. Foofa can
  play the tambourine.

A blue female arctic cat dragon who likes to have fun.  She has a close bond with Plex and is the bassist for the  Gabba band.

A male magic yellow robot. Plex usually teaches lessons to his friends and is a father figure to the gang. In my opinion,  Plex is the worst character on the show (no offense to all those Plex lovers out there)(like Erin).

DJ Lance

DJ Lance is the narrator of Yo Gabba Gabba and is friends with all the characters. DJ Lance is a positive role model!

Delicious Haystack Cookie Recipe

posted Apr 27, 2012, 6:05 PM by Horse Girl

This recipe is both easy and delicious (and I don't just like it for its name!)
You need:
12 ounce bag of butterscotch chips
12 ounce bag of chocolate chips
1 cup pecans
6 ounce bag of Chinese noodles (Since I have trouble finding this size, I usually use 1/2 of a 12 ounce bag

1.melt butterscotch and chocolate chips on cook top, then add remaining ingredients
2.stir well(it is ok if a few noodles break), and place spoonfuls on wax paper-covered cookie sheets
3. put sheets in fridge until cookies harden

Prepare to be amazed! These cookies are so good, it will seem like you took hours, but you can made them in a matter of minutes!
