Louis A. Bacon
Louis A. Bacon graduated from the University of Illinois in 1943 with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. He was CHM XE in 1979. He was the president of the National Society of Professional Engineers from 1983-1984. He has been on the Board of Ethical Review for several cases for the National Academy of Engineering.
Bacon was the vice president for Heery Architects and Engineers by 1985. Some projects taken on by the firm in the mid 1980s include Coca-Cola U.S.A. Building and Georgia Dome.
Louis A. Bacon has won several awards including Civil Engineering Award in 1985, CEEAA Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1985, Constituent Leadership Award in 1987, and Medal of Honor Award in 2003 from Georgia Foundation.
