Daniel C. Drucker
Dr. Daniel Drucker received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D degrees from Columbia University. He studied plasticity in the field of applied mechanics. From 1946 until 1968, he taught at Brown University. He joined University of Illinois as Dean of Engineering in 1968. He left University of Illinois and became a research professor at University of Illinois. He received many award due to his excellent in studies. He received the Timoshenko Medal in 1983. Also, he received the National Medal of Science. After his hard works, Dr. Drucker passed away from leukemia in 2001.
