A friendly Club for Puppy and Dog Training meeting at Lavant just north of Chichester

About the Club

This club provides socialisation and training for puppies and dogs.

It was founded in 1967 and is Kennel Club Affiliated


The Club is run by volunteers, any profits being donated to animal charities.

Training classes are run by qualified / experienced instructors.

Training Classes

Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Scheme: for puppies less than 6 months old when starting.  Includes socialisation with other puppies, basic obedience and food manners, puppy assessment

Please note:

(1) It is Club policy to require puppies to have had their second vaccination before joining the class.  Certificates will be inspected on the first night of joining.

(2) Dogs older than 8 weeks are, by law, required to be microchipped.

Pre-Beginners class: for dogs starting their training or moving up from the puppy class

Includes walking to heel, recall, sit and stay, pre-beginners test (at end of term)

There are approximately 10 lessons per term for each class

Membership and training fees

Fees are £5 membership (per annum) + £20 for the first term and £25 for each following term within the membership year (September to July)

Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme

Once a year, usually in the summer term, a test night is held for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme www.thekennelclub.org.uk/dogtraining
